The United Nations Development Programme released a public-service announcement featuring the soccer legend Zinedine Zidane appealing to viewers to “not forget about” Haiti.
The video asks for support for the UNDP’s “cash-for-work” project, which is aimed at injecting money into the country’s economy by employing 200,000 Haitians to help clear away rubble and begin reconstruction of buildings destroyed by last month’s earthquake.
